The diplomatic conflict between Ankara and Tel Aviv is reaching its peak, as Turkish authorities issued an international arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu .
The decision was announced via the X platform by Turkish Justice Minister Akin Gurlek , clarifying that the warrant—which is also directed against Israeli citizen Afek Moskowitz on charges of “genocide” —was issued within the framework of the judicial investigation into the interception of the “Gaza Flotilla” in international waters and the detention of the activists aboard it.
To enforce the decision, the Ministry of Interior has already been requested to issue a “Red Notice” for the purpose of their international identification and arrest.
The Turkish minister categorically emphasized that Ankara rejects any notion of immunity for the Israeli government, stating that neither the cover-up of the actions in Gaza nor the prevalence of impunity will be allowed, while announcing the full utilization of all the possibilities of national and international law .
At the same time, he stressed that under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan , Turkey will continue to stand unwaveringly by the side of the Palestinian people , escalating legal and political pressure against Tel Aviv to the maximum at a time of intense turmoil in the Middle East.
