Let’s be clear: It’s not bad to be an old Leftist .
Just like it’s not bad to be a fan of Kyriakos today.
Everyone has their own historical path .
And the right to his current opinions.
If you want, everyone has the right to their own… nonsense .
But to compare the “identification” of Plastiras-Papagos after a bloody civil war with today’s political pseudo-dilemmas is a bit of a joke. I wouldn’t say completely hilarious …
* What the “poet” wants to say is the following:
Just as it was wrong for Zachariadis to compare Plastiras to Papagos in 1952, so today those who find similarities between Alexis Tsipras and Kyriakos #Mitsotakis are wrong.
Because something like this, he says, “refers to a simplistic, leveling thinking that is unable to analyze reality in all its nuances…”

* First objection: To parallel 1952 with 2026 – or rather to identify something said in 1952 with something completely different, said in 2026 about other people in completely different circumstances – is sheer nonsense ! Without further ado…
Then a dramatic decade had just ended – of War , Occupation and Civil War . And the leader of the defeated of the Civil War, from abroad where he was, saw their opponents as “the same thing” …
Today? Today we are somewhere else…
Today we have two politicians who market themselves as “alternatives” to each other – and as “rivals” to each other – while they have pursued similar policies in a number of critical areas.
Not identifying different things is just as wrong as differentiating similar things !
It reminds me of what happened to someone who was “burned in the batter” and since then “even the yogurt has been blowing” .
Even more so when artificial “polarization” is cultivated between converging policies …
* Those who point out that #Tsipras adopted an economic policy of creating super-surpluses and then distributing benefits are absolutely right.
#Kyriakos denounced this policy as opposition and then fully adopted it and took it further.
That’s what they look like!
— Tsipras attempted to manipulate the judiciary with the #Novartis conspiracy.
Kyriakos denounced Tsipras then, and then… covered up for Tsipras , and tried to manipulate Justice himself: both in the #wiretapping case and in #Tempi and in #OPEKEPE – something for which the European Prosecutor is also denouncing him.
And that’s what they look like too!
— Tsipras adopted the so-called “Mobility” in national issues – that is, the abandonment of fixed national red lines . And he made the Prespa Agreement .
Kyriakos then denounced the #Prespa Agreement and then adopted “Mobility” , that is, the abandonment of national red lines in Greek-Turkish ! His minister even declares that he wants to reach an agreement with Ankara , even if they call him… a loser .
And in this he looks more and more like Tsipras!
— Tsipras had begun to adopt the right-wing and woke agenda . He even brought forward a bill to adopt orphaned minors to same-sex couples.
Kyriakos’ New Democracy voted against that bill and then, as a government, Kyriakos introduced a law on same-sex marriage , which paves the way for the adoption – not just “adoption” – of orphaned children by same-sex couples.
Here they look more and more alike.
— Tsipras was forced to increase #VAT on many items from 13% to 24% . ND denounced him at the time. And then Kyriakos came along and kept the VAT at 24% , despite the fact that there is no longer a memorandum.
Here they start to look very similar to each other…
It should be noted that, based on memoranda, Samaras had lowered the VAT on catering from 23 to 13% and had refused to raise the VAT on other items.
The Troika then told him that he would have a problem with revenue.
But then there was no problem! And the Troika silently backed down and never raised the issue of increasing VAT again.
Until Tsipras came and the Troika imposed it.
And then Kyriakos came and held it.
Here they are now identical to each other …
— So as not to compare how many illegal immigrants received residence permits under Tsipras and how many under Kyriakos…
All these are not “superficial similarities” .
It is a substantial policy convergence .
* All this does not concern Plastiras, it does not concern Papagos, it does not concern the distant 1952 , it concerns TODAY !
— The accuracy that is enhanced due to high indirect taxation, TODAY .
— The #woke agenda that is tearing apart Western societies today, and which admits its extremes but allows it to permeate.
–The uncontrolled entry of “tooled” people that continues TODAY .
— The economy that produces “super-surpluses” and distributes benefits – not opportunities and not Development – TODAY .
Both politicians who supported the same policies appear as… “rival awe” of each other! TODAY …
And “we are not allowed to realize it ,” he says, “don’t let them tell us,” he says, “that we are ruminating on that old thing…

* The old leftists – in their good old days – also said something else delicious:
— A fool is someone you point your finger at the moon at – and he looks at the finger!
In other words, when you show them the obvious and they refuse to see it and get hung up on something else – on a detail – they are idiots .
Indeed, details always make a difference, but analysis is when you try to bypass the details and get to the essence .
In Politics – and not only in Politics – there are the same things that diverge along the way (which is why we have party splits , etc.) and different things that converge along the way (which is why we have alliances , restructuring of the political map , etc.)
— Here Tsipras differentiated himself from his former party and is trying to create a “Center-Left” today without a Left !
— And Kyriakos joined the views of the Semitic Center-Left and is trying to create today a “Center-Right without the Right” .
Here, the two are not “the same” .
It’s something worse: completely complementary – not “rivals” .
And they converge on a “Center” that is a little woke, a little “green” ,
a little: “build Prespes everywhere” – and it no longer has anything to do with the Historical Center that existed in Greece.
Both are attempting a triple “mutation” of the political map: without Right , without Left , without Center – with a mush of different shades.
And while this is already bankrupt everywhere in the Western world – when it is belatedly “introduced” to us here…
* From this triple mutation, a large part of Greek society remains unrepresented . And people are fleeing the polls.
— Kyriakos has already lost more than half of those who voted for him three years ago.
— Three years ago, Tsipras had already lost more than half of those who voted for him in his “glories” – and today he is gathering even fewer.
Both are representatives of the “old” , which is constantly declining.
