The 41-year-old who was arrested in an area of Attica was not, based on what the Greek Police have recorded, the typical street drug dealer. In his house in Chaidari, he operated a warehouse, a workshop and a sales point at the same time. In his pocket he had a telephone connection designed to leave no traces. And in his papers he kept a file.
Two other people were arrested with him. However, the case file includes two more people who are wanted and 18 unidentified, an indication that the circuit described is clearly wider than the three who passed through the door of the traffic police station.
How does information reach an arrest?
The case did not start with a random check. It was preceded by the utilization of information by police officers of the Department of Direct Intervention against Drugs , which was then analyzed thoroughly. The Special Operational Actions Sub-Directorate of the Attica Crime Prosecution and Investigation Directorate took the lead.
From the processing of the data, a picture was formed with a starting point in time: at least since July 2026 , the 41-year-old was active in the supply, storage, processing and trafficking of significant quantities of drugs in areas of Western Attica .
A portfolio of substances — and an unusual supplier
The core of the activity was cannabis and cocaine . The interesting thing, however, is in the rest: the 41-year-old also had access to MDMA , LSD and substances in pill form.
And here comes the element that sets the case apart from the routine of police reports. According to the authorities, the specific substances were supplied by a psychologist, who was arrested on the same day, in a different area of Athens.
The house as infrastructure
The “kavatza” was his own residence. It was where the drugs were stored, and where most of the transactions took place. When he needed to move, he used a vehicle he owned to reach nearby meeting points.
The police, however, are talking about something more than simple storage: the 41-year-old had special expertise in drug processing . He didn’t just traffic; he produced and shaped it.
At the same time, part of the work had already shifted to the logic of e-commerce: deliveries were made via a shipping company , with the substances hidden in packaged packages .
The “ghost phone” and the language of codes
The clientele was stable . And precisely because it was stable, the risk of detection was growing. The 41-year-old responded with two tools.
The first was technical: a “ghost phone” type telephone connection, i.e. a line that does not lead to an identified user and makes monitoring difficult. The second was linguistic: coded terms and slang expressions, so that even if someone were listening, they would not understand.
The measures, in the end, were not enough. The authorities came to a specific conclusion, namely that from the beginning of July to August 23, 2026 , 90 purchases and sales of substances took place, for a total price of 3,800 euros .
The day of the arrests
The 41-year-old and the psychologist were located and arrested simultaneously, in different parts of the capital. Body searches yielded a small amount of cannabis, 445 euros and a mobile phone.
A little later, as part of the ongoing investigation , a third name was added: a 45-year-old who had obtained drugs from the 41-year-old.
What did the research show?
The true extent of the case was revealed in the searches that followed in homes and an office, with the assistance of a police dog . The following were seized:
- 834.9 g of cannabis and 131.6 g of processed “chocolate” cannabis
- 522.5 g of ketamine
- 122.7 g of cocaine
- 56.2 g MDMA and 39 g Ecstasy
- 103 g of the substance 3MMC
- 180 pharmaceutical pills and 100 cannabis candies
- 15,565 euros in cash
- 6 precision scales
- 2 vehicles and one motorcycle
- a multitude of handwritten notes
The last two categories are, from an investigative perspective, the most telling. Precision scales document the portion and commercial disposition. Handwritten notes usually hide names, quantities and debts and are likely the thread that will lead to the eighteen individuals who remain anonymous in the case file for the time being.
The arrested persons were taken to the competent prosecution authority .
